Inter Club Hilly Series, Event 7 (of 8) - Knottallow Hill Climb, 13th August 2015 Featured

The 7th of 8 events in this season's Inter Club Hilly competition saw a fantastic turnout on just about the perfect night. No wind and warm, and it resulted in some stellar times. 

Niall Paterson of Honister 92 certainly found it to his liking, smashing the previous course record by 33 seconds, to finish in 5:47. In fact the top 4 riders all broke the previous record. Cog Set & Kent Valley's George Wharton was 2nd in 6:05, & our own Tom Brook (and one of only two LCC riders) 3rd in 6:07. The 4th & final rider to break the existing course record was Lakes RC's Craig Steele in 6:14. Congratulations to all! LCC's Ben Cooper was 18th of 31 riders in 7:25.

Off local turf, we've dropped a place in the latest Inter Club table, with Lakes RC just moving above us & into 2nd place. But with only the one event to go, Kent Valley maintain their commanding lead at the top of the leader board.
