Thursday saw 15riders sign on for the Lancaster CC ‘10’ on the Denny Beck to Farleton course on a warm, bright evening only marred by a gusting, swirling wind which was predominantly a headwind out and was only occasionally helpful on the way back. Again only one rider broke 25mph - Dave Chell riding his second event this year improved 13seconds to 23:49 with Tim Norton in second place recording his fastest by one second! From the 15 who rode eight were making their first appearance of the year (including Bikie who was pleased to just break 20mph!) and a warm welcome was extended to Matt Ball, now living in Scotland, and returning rider Neil Slater who were both regular riders on Caton Road seven or eight years ago. The biggest improvement of the night though was made by Graham Kennerley riding his second evening ‘10’ and improving by 3:44!
