Lancaster Cycling Club, although they had a time trial the previous week at the Salt Ayre Circuit, started their road evening events the following evening on the A683 Caton Road from above Denny Beck to Farleton and back. Kent Valley’s Andy Barlow won the fist event on this course in April of last year and fittingly he was fastest in the first event of 2008 in a time 47seconds faster.
