Lancaster Cycling Club
10 Mile Circuit TT
Salt Ayre Circuit
After a break in evening TT’s from the 18th of April due to the temporary traffic lights at Claughton the Lancaster CC finally resumed Wednesday evening racing with the first of their ‘10’s utilising the 1,400yard Salt Ayre Racing Circuit. Only seven riders contested the first event with all reporting no major problems with the course and the only organisational problems being keeping track of who had completed the 12½ laps and watching out for stray pedestrians and dog walkers wandering onto the closed circuit. The fastest rider on the night was Nev Pearson whose 25mph ride was nearly equivalent to the speeds he was achieving in the evening TT’s on the open road at Bull Beck at this time last year.
