The following Local Regulations have been approved by the National Committee in accordance with Regulation 38. Any breaches may lead to disciplinary action.

Local Reg No 5. In ALL events, competitors prior to starting are not permitted to ride past the finish timekeeper during the duration of the event.

Local Reg No 6. Any competitor making a 'U' turn in the vicinity of the Start or Finish will be disqualified from the event.

A full copy of the Risk Assessment is on display at event HQ. Riders should take careful note of the following points:

a)      Warming up can be undertaken east of the Start, west of the Finish, or on Littlefell Lane or Little Fell Road.

 b)      The descent to the Start from HQ is fast and competitors should be aware of potential hazards on all bends with traffic coming uphill being in the centre of the road.

 c)      Take care not to cut corners, take corners too wide or encroach into the middle of the road on any of the bends, however steep. There is a danger from traffic being in the centre of the road and spectators on the course.

 d)      You have the right of way, but are advised to take care at the crossroads after 700 yards.

 e)      On finishing, turn carefully to return to HQ. Remember you must not U turn in the vicinity of the Finish.

In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. For Juvenile and Junior riders the wearing of such helmets is compulsory.

You are reminded that you must comply with traffic law and the Highway Code.
