    13th March 2008.

    Hello everyone

    1. It is now time time to get your racing kit together. LCC's first club event of the season is on Monday 24 March (first rider at 8.01am). This is the first of the four Bank Holiday 10s on Levens (L1015). Details of the course and information for riders can be found on the club website (www.lancastercc.co.uk).

All riders must be first or second claim members of LCC. So you need to renew your membership subscription before riding. Fee is now £12 for seniors, but remains free for under 18s. A copy of the membership renewal form can be downloaded from the website. Under 18s must also submit a parental consent form to LCC for the season before riding. This too can be downloaded from the website.

Entries should be sent to me by Tuesday 18th March by email or phone (01524 39477) or posted to me (11 Cromwell Road, Lancaster LA1 5BD). Or see me at the QGM at the Gregson Institute (Friday 7th March, 7.30pm). You should supply your name, age and best time current and last 3 seasons. Fee £2 (juniors, juveniles free). A start list will be produced and posted on the website.

After 18th March, anyone wishing to enter or with a query should contact the Organiser, Brian Kennedy. E-mail (bkymeadow@tiscali.co.uk), phone (01524 844162. Entries may also be available on the morning at HQ (Bowling Green Hall in Levens Village open from about 7.15am) subject to availability and the usual conditions.

    2. Paul Andrews is due to restart Saturday training sessions for youngsters at Salt Ayre. He would welcome offers of help on a regular or intermittent basis. Contact him at paul@sandrews.plus.com if you would like to be involved in what proved a very successful scheme last year.

    3. Le Terrier Sportive on 29th June. A slide show of the long course is now on the club website and will soon be accompanied by route details (short course info will then follow). I would be grateful for feedback from club members on the route descriptions - is there enough info? can you spot any mistakes? So get out and start test riding parts - or all - of the course(s).

    Racing Secretary
